My 5th tattoo, Wonder Woman. The first comic book hero I fell in love with and the one who began my comic addiction. Though her beginnings were slow and I wasn’t a huge fan of the writing for awhile, Gail Simone’s take on her made me really appreciate her depth as a character (her new 52 reboot series is pretty amazing as well). She may be a strong amazon warrior, but she also has so much compassion and grip on humanity that makes her relatable and a real heroine to me.
I chose the art done by one of my favorite artists, Jim Lee, and it was done by Dave Cise at the Baltimore Tattoo Museum. (this was taken immediately after it was completed so her lasso was still a bit bloody in the photo)

This is my Van Gogh Starry night X NYC tattoo. I’ve always loved the Starry Night painting since i was a freshman in High School and learned about it in art class. I always tried to do similar drawings in class and on my free time. I decided to put the NYC skyline because it’s almost like my personalized view of starry night being that i live in New York, aside from the fact that the NYC skyline is one of the most appealing views in my opinion, especially with the twin towers, as 9/11 is a day that i will never forget, it felt very necessary to include the twin towers in the skyline. This is a picture taken today after finishing the second session, done my Matt Fibikar at Bullseye Tattoo shop in Staten Island, New York. Matt was a pleasure to work with and was very mellow and understanding. We have put about 8 hours of work into it so far. This is my first tattoo, and Matt made me feel very comfortable from the start. I will definitely be going back to Matt in the future for more work. Hope you like it!
Funny conversation yesterday at work. The sheet of flash I’ve been painting was just random imagery that I wanted to display and to eventually tattoo. But the random imagers were starting to look like a western themed flash sheet, with the exception of the “Stay Classy” San Diego one.
My co workers were suggesting I did a cowboy, or a pioneer, or something else to keep the sheet together.
I nodded, listened, then told them I was going to paint an F-14 fighter jet for no fucking reason.
So…. I painted an F 14, for no fucking reason. I like it. I guess thats all that matters.
First tattoo. The meaning for this is the fact that I support animals rights and that since they can’t talk to save their lives, I want to be one of those people to speak for them and end the cruelty.
I got this little tattoo because.. well, i’m a total cat fiend! I wanted something there that wasnt a mustache or “Shh..” like most. :) Took about 5 minutes by Ian Parkin at Inkslingers, Newcastle UK
This is my fourth tattoo that I got two days ago. It is a Dr. Seuss tattoo with illustrations from the books One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish and Gertrude McFuzz. It has the popular quote by Dr. Seuss saying “Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” I think this is a really cute and true quote to live by and I’m happy I could finally get this tattoo because i’ve wanted it for a long time and it’s more beautiful then I imagined it would be :) Elijah Nguyen at Skin Stories in Houston, Texas did it.
